Community Outreach

Prince of Peace United Methodist recognizes that it is an Elk Grove Village church, and as such has a Christian obligation to provide mission services to its community. We do so in many ways.

salvationarmy
Prince of Peace members serve as volunteers in the following:

- PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter)

- Salvation Army Christmas Bell Ringing

- Meals on Wheels

- Alexian Brothers Medical Center

- Kenneth J. Young Center

- As a church community, Prince of Peace regularly contributes to the local Elk Grove Village food pantry, and also works with community agencies during the holidays to help provide food, clothing and Christmas gifts to those in need.

POP PumpkinFest
Prince of Peace is actively seeking local crafters, artisans and vendors to participate in the “PumpkinFest” scheduled for Saturday, October 06, 2012, beginning at 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM on the church lawn.

The outdoor spaces are available for a donation of $45 and is the only cost to the crafter. All proceeds from sales at the booths belong to the crafter. All spaces are 10’ x 10’; unfortunately, we cannot accommodate electricity. Crafters will need to provide all set up items, including tables and tents. Please do not bring prepared food to sell. All exhibit space will be assigned on a first-come, first- assigned basis, although every effort will be made to honor special-need requirements.

The festival will include children’s games, a petting zoo, moonwalk, pumpkin patch, food, and of course, the finest in crafts! The proceeds from the festival will be used to support our church ministries and missions.

Contact the church office at (847) 439-0668 for additional information.
